The entry point to the exhibition is the art object by Irina Orlova and Anastasia Arlantseva “Memory of Roots: Narvskaya Zastava, ” which, as the authors themselves write, “is an interactive composition designed to draw attention to the history and transformations of Narvskaya Zastava. The composition consists of layers representing different eras: starting with the imperial era, then the industrial era, and ending with the revolutionary era.” Each layer has contributed to the formation and character of this place, making it unique and diverse. Using simple, bright, and colorful forms, as well as an interactive approach, we invite viewers to reflect on the influence of past eras on the modern space. The art object becomes a kind of window into the past, allowing us to experience the history and heritage of the area through a modern lens. Viewers are invited to interact with the composition by moving, removing, or saving elements, thereby creating their own image of this place.
